Community Outreach volunteers

We are seeking individuals who are passionate and dedicated to help expand our LGBTQ+ advocacy efforts in South Georgia. Community Outreach volunteers will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of outreach activities, as well as assisting in maintaining partnerships with other community organizations. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about building community relationships, organizing events, and increasing awareness of our mission to support and empower LGBTQ+ individuals.

Key ReSponsibilities

• Community Engagement: Build relationships with local LGBTQ+ organizations, businesses, and community leaders to foster partnerships.

• Event Planning and Execution: Assist in organizing outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions to engage the community and promote the organization’s mission.

• Awareness Campaigns: Distribute educational materials, participate in tabling events, and represent the organization at community gatherings.

• Volunteer Coordination: Support the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers for various events and activities.

• Social Media and Promotion: Collaborate with the team to create content for outreach efforts on social media and other platforms to increase visibility and engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for connecting with diverse groups.

• Knowledge of and sensitivity to LGBTQ+ issues and the challenges faced by the community.

• Preference for candidates residing in South Georgia or North Florida to ensure strong community connections.

• Flexibility to attend events in the evenings or on weekends as needed.
