Financial Director
South Georgia Pride, a leading LGBTQ+ advocacy organization, is seeking a passionate and experienced Financial Director to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee all financial activities, ensuring our mission-driven organization remains fiscally healthy and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Key ReSponsibilities
Financial Planning & Management
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and mission.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to the leadership team for informed decision-making.
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
Manage accounting records and bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial management, maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial data.
Grant Management:
Monitor and report on grants and funding, ensuring proper allocation and compliance with grant requirements.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and non-profit sector requirements.
Qualifications
Attendance: Flexibility to attend events in the evenings or on weekends as needed.
Education: Minimum Hight school diploma/GED; preferred post-secondary training in accounting or bookkeeping, or actively seeking degree in fields.
Experience: Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping; Strong understanding of financial management and reporting; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with grant management and reporting.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements for non-profits.
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online
Experience in the non-profit sector
