Board Director Position

Description

The Board of Directors is the governing body for South Georgia Pride, Inc. The board oversees the general direction of the organization and works with the executive team (Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director) to ensure events and programs run as planned and within SGP’s mission and bylaws. SGP’s board of directors meet, at minimum, once a quarter to discuss finances, upcoming events and programs, and other topics brought before the board. The board elects officers (Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, Secretary, and Treasurer) annually and those officers serve as the legal representatives of the board.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum 1 year experience with a non-profit

  • Management experience preferred

  • Note: South Georgia Pride will conduct background checks on candidates that require access to financial systems to perform their duties.
