Board Director Position

Description

The Board of Directors is the governing body for South Georgia Pride, Inc. The board of directors will oversee the general direction of the organization and work with the executive team (Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director) to ensure events and programs run as planned and within SGP’s mission and bylaws. SGP’s board of directors meet at minimum once a quarter to discuss finances, upcoming events and programs, as well as any other topics that may be brought before the board. The board of directors elects officers (Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer) annually and those officers will serve as the legal representatives of the board.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum 1 year experience with a non-profit

  • Some management experience preferred

  • If candidate will be granted any access to financial systems, a background check will be performed by SGP
